Texas ya/all

Hi Everyone, We had a nice Easter, however really wished we could be with you. We went to 11:00 mass, and then to this little place we found in a neighboring town that we liked, called Weck's We more or less just hung out here after that, and then at about 6:30 we had our ham dinner! I took a couple pictures of our house and will send them.

It's official: we're moving back to Texas

Hi All,

Well, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics has offered me a position as a Hardware Engineer at their Fort Worth plant, working on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program. My start date is April 27th. I am back in Farmington today, now in the process of working my last two weeks here. Molly came up with me because Michelle has a break between her surgery and radiation treatments.
Michelle handled the surgery well and the following pathology found no signs of cancer, Praise the Lord!! She is still going to do 7 weeks of 5-times-a-week radiation treatments starting April 30th though, just to be safe. We have been very blessed through this whole process.
I will post updates later as we find a new house and such. Talk to you later!

On the move...

I know there are hardly any pics of my kids on here...so here are a few more.  ;)

Iris hit a few milestones recently...she is 7.5 months old today (our baby is growing up way too fast), she just figured out how to do the army crawl,  (she LOVES the diaper bin...I think we may have to find a new spot for that now.  She also loves crawling after the cat.  Poor Greta.)  And the best milestone YET...she is now saying "mama."

texas trivia

Hi Jacobs clan, We are having a nice time here. Brian, Carrie, and Jenene left yesterday. They hit the weather just right. Although it was cloudy at times the weather was warm. They came in on Sat. and Clint and Molly met them at the airport, then took them to get their rental car. They then went to a airplane museum. When they got here we had dinnerand hung out at our house. Sunday we went to mass and then the flea market in Grand Prarie. On Monday we went to the putt [putt golf course, that also had a go cart track, which had a unlimited time on it! The kids drove go-carts for 2 hours! Brian and Carrie did too! After we had dinner at Golden Corral. Tues. they went with Clint Molly and Maddie to Ripleys believe it or not. We invited all to our house for lasangna. Wed we escorted them to the airport. We were very pleased they could come! Next week is spring break so the kids are spending the week here! Hope all is well with our Minnesota family, and that remnant of israel kid!

Totally cute!

As I was taking some pictures of Iris (yesterday) she put her hand up under her chin - all on her own.  I think she's pretty adorable.  :)

Jacobs Texas Headquarters

Hi everyone, We are more or less settled in here. I thought I'd send a few phoyo's of our humble abode! The weather has been great! Today is Maries birthday , so HAPPY BIRTHDAY Marie! I haven't sent pictures in awhile so hope I'm successful!

Iris is 6 months old!

It's hard to believe but Iris is 6 months old today!  I took these pictures of her just a few minutes ago.

She is a JOY!  Very sweet, smiley, cuddly... She laughs really easily and she loves being around Ava.

Rich and I feel like we've hit the jackpot twice now.  We're so blessed to have our girls.

Updates from the South

Hi everybody!
It's been quite a while since my family and I have put up a post, so I thought I would put in some news. I am still working in Farmington at the Utility and Molly and all the kids are still in TX. Michelle started a new type of chemo treatments, the last batch was 12 sessions, this new one has four. The 12 weren't too bad, she did lose her hair, but had no sickness. We have done 2 of the 4, and these do make her sick, so we are glad that they will be over soon (she gets the treatment once every 2 weeks). After those are done she gets 3 weeks off, then surgery, then 7 weeks of radiation 5 days a week. So the whole ordeal will be over by the end of May.
I am still seeking work, I had an interview yesterday (Feb. 10th) with Lockheed STS and have an interview with Lockheed Aero (a different position) on the 23rd. Yesterday went well, they said they would make a decision by mid-March. I am more excited for the Aero job, so we'll see what happens. Please pray for us as we try and get all this done. We also have our house in Farmington on the market (selling it ourselves) and have a couple of interested parties, so we have been really quite blessed through this whole thing.
As you know, Mom and Dad are down here for a while and it is quite awesome having them here! We did Christmas gifts, etc. this past Saturday which was very nice.
That's all for now, we hope everyone is doing well!

Two weeks done with the semester

Hello all,
Well today marks two weeks of the semester being done at school. It's been pretty good, much better then fall semester. I've managed to get ahead in most of my classes and now i'm working to stay ahead ;) I've been staying busy with homework, Facebook, class, church, and hanging out with friends. I'm also trying to find some time to practice my guitar. Though it's hard because one of the strings broke, when I was tuning it with a friend of mine last Friday. Then we broke the second string, so now I have to buy a new set of strings...My favorite class so far is my theology course, Christian Moral Principles, my least favorite is Survey of Biology because even though it is easy, we just take notes on his lecture, it's right over the lunch time so it's tough. I slept in today for 9 hours. For most of you nine hours might not seem that much, but for me here at college it's really nice. I've been staying up really late all week, and getting up early. I'll post more later today when I get the time.

Mom and Dad Events

I went on this blog and didn't see any entries, so I had to put something in! Today Jan. 19 we went to Springfield for Sheila's annual physical! If you want to find out about what the doctor found you have to call her. Her #612-240-9526. We stopped at the farm and got all the framed grandchildren picture's to take along to Texas. Our new address in texas this year is 1710 Seaborn Road, Ponder Texas, 76259. Hope to hear from you! My cell # is 612-269-2668 Have a nice winter! Love The Folks
